Murfreesboro is a city in and the county seat of Rutherford County, Tennessee, United States.
The population was 100,575 according to the city's 2008 special census, up from 81,393 residents certified
during the 2005 special census.
The center of population of Tennessee is located in Murfreesboro.
The city is part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes thirteen counties and
a population of 1,486,695 (2007).
